In the framework of Erasmus+ KA3 project Cities of Learning: Youth Co-design learning, civic and career pathways, 20 young people from 8 different Cities and Regions of Learning in Europe will stay in Cagliari from the 22nd to the 26th of November 2021 to explore the local surroundings, as well as come together to exchange experiences, discuss different topics and create new content for their own CoL platforms.
Together with 15 other participants, coming to Cagliari alongside them to participate in the Third Partners’ Meeting of this project, they will also start brainstorming ideas for policy recommendations to be later brought to EU decision makers, focusing on youth strategies, digital competencies and recognition of non-formal learning.
They’ll then have more chances to develop these first ideas during upcoming activities, i.e. the Youth Seminar happening in Lorca City of Learning in April, and then the Youth Forum taking place in Sachsen-Anhalt Region of Learning in July, as a closing event to the whole project.
During the study visit, the participants will develop several competencies:
- Digital skills: They’ll learn about Cities and Regions of Learning, how to use the platform and how to create content for it (especially learning playlists), how to work in multicultural teams and self-direct their own learning.
- Leadership and communication: They’ll contribute actively to the program of the event by organising some of the activities, together with their group leaders, and some of them will form a special team of young reporters who will be in charge of communication and visibility for the whole duration of the study visit.
- Social and intercultural skills: They will have the opportunity to visit the city and learn about the local culture, and they’ll be able to meet new people from different cultural backgrounds and practice their English speaking skills by communicating with their peers.
This Study Visit is organised by Associazione Interculturale Nur, local partner of Cagliari Metropolitan City of Learning, in cooperation with the Network of Cities and Regions of Learning, and it involves participants coming from the Cities and Regions of Learning of Sachsen-Anhalt (Germany), Cagliari (Italy), Vilnius (Lithuania), Tilburg (Netherlands), Tønsberg and Vestfold-og-Telemark (Norway), Novi Sad (Serbia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Lorca (Spain).
This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
