Science Achiever

Turite gauti visus ženkliukus iš žemiau pateikto sąrašo
The Science Achiever badge acknowledges my growing ability to apply mathematics and science innovatively in solving problems and contributing to the resource management processes in my volunteering project.
My volunteering environment has become a playground for advancing these skills.
I had to complete at least 2 out of 3 tasks to earn this badge, and evidence was reviewed and confirmed by my mentor.
This badge is part of the Achievements Programme for the European Solidarity Corps.
Užduotys
Užduotis nr.1
Išduoda organizatorius arba nuskaitant QR kodą
If you lived at least a month in the same place, identify what are the maintenance costs for your apartment (heating, electricity, water, etc.). Come up with 3 ideas for saving on resources in your apartment. If you live with other volunteers, think about it together and give it a try. Ask your hosting organisation to check if there was any change in consumption after trying out those saving ideas.
For the evidence, provide at least three ideas how you are planning to save on energy consumption in your apartment.
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.
Užduotis nr.2
Išduoda organizatorius arba nuskaitant QR kodą
Do you have your favourite scientist or inventor? Do you usually explore what are the innovations in the field of your interest? Now your volunteering is linked to a specific aspect (e.g. youth work or social work, or care, etc.) Search for some most recent innovations in the field which you are involved.
For the evidence, share some ideas and innovative solutions, that you got the most excited about. You can also consider sharing it with your hosting organisation too!
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.
Užduotis nr.3
Išduoda organizatorius arba nuskaitant QR kodą
One of the skills in science is the ability to deal with data and map similar things together.
We invite you for a mission to create your local community mapping, which would focus on useful opportunities for young people there.
Identify places, people, and resources that can be useful for young people.
Show it to others in the organisation and think together what are the opportunities and gaps that are not used to it’s full extent.
**Be visual **- draw, create images, write! It can be a digital or physical map on paper.
Upload the community map and share a few thoughts on your findings.
The task is completed after the mentor confirms your evidence.
